The Agua Mansa Enterprise Zone Marketing
Committee is preparing an application for zone designation on
behalf of the Agua Mansa Industrial Growth Association ("AMIGA".)
The County of Riverside is serving as the lead agency in the
application process.
Upon designation, the State provides technical assistance related
to zone administration and shares leads and provides up to five
million dollars per year in low interest loans to recycling
businesses. Mr. Zamora concluded these incentives, along with
Enterprise Zone incentives, will provide new economic vitality to
our communities and strengthen the local markets for recyclable
materials as well as complement future development of Materials
Recovery Facilities. Staff recommended approval of the specific
designation.
Motion by Councilman Lofy, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to adopt
RESOLUTION NO. R-28-92.
