Unauthorized remarks from the audience, stamping of feet, <br />whistling, clapping, yelling, and similar demonstrations shall <br />NOT be permitted by the Presiding Officer. Any disrupting <br />demonstrations shall be cause for the Chief of Police to clear <br />the Council Chambers or to remove individual offenders upon <br />direction of the Presiding Officer. <br />Any person who verbally attacks other individuals, groups, or <br />City Officials, or otherwise becomes boisterous while <br />addressing the Council, or while attending the Council <br />Meeting, shall be ruled out of order by the Presiding Officer. <br />If someone begins to make impertinent or slanderous remarks, <br />the Presiding Officer ( or the City Manager or City Attorney at <br />the direction of the Presiding Officer) will instruct the <br />person to follow the Council Rules. If the <br />person does not cease, the Presiding Officer will instruct the <br />Chief of Police to remove the person from the Council Chambers <br />and bar him/her from further audience before the Council. <br />61 <br />
