CITY COUNCIUREDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/ <br />COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />May 5, 2006 <br />An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council for the City of Colton was held on the above given <br />date at 5:20 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Bennett presiding. <br />TELECONFERENCE LOCATION: <br />Residence Inn, 1440 South Whiteoak Drive, Waukegan, Illinois <br />City Attorney Marco Martinez announced that prior to roll call a portion of this City Council meeting is <br />conducted pursuant to California Government Code Section 54953, in that Councilmember Isaac <br />Suchil who is at the Residence Inn, 1440 South Whiteoak Drive, Waukegan, Illinois will be <br />participating in this City Council meeting by speaker phone. In accordance with the Brown Act, each <br />teleconference location has been identified in the notice and agenda for this meeting. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Members Present: <br />Deirdre H. Bennett, Mayor <br />Isaac T. Suchil <br />John D. Mitchell <br />Helen A. Ramos <br />Kelly J. Chastain <br />Richard A. De La Rosa <br />Ramon M. Hernandez <br />Staff Present: <br />Daryl Parrish, City Manager <br />Marco Martinez, City Attorney <br />Carolina P. Barrera, City Clerk <br />City Attorney Martinez clarified the following: (a) CM Suchil had a copy of the agenda for the <br />meeting; (b) the agenda was posted at the location, a conference room at the Residence Inn; (c) the <br />location is reasonably accessible to the public; (c) councilmembers present could hear clearly <br />through speaker phone CM Suchil and likewise CM Suchil could hear the proceedings thus far. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF MARCH <br />7, 2006. <br />Mayor Bennett asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of <br />interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br />ACTION ITEM <br />PUBLIC HEARING: <br />This was the time and place fixed to consider an extension of Urgency Ordinance No. 0-08-06, <br />adopted March 21, 2006 — an urgency ordinance of the City Council of the City of Colton in <br />accordance with Government Code Section 65858 enacting for a period of ten (10) months and <br />fifteen (15) days a moratorium on the approval of application for certain land uses city wide. <br />The Mayor declared the Public Hearing "Open". <br />
