CITY COUNCIUREDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/ COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF COLTON ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING May 5, 2006 An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council for the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 5:20 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Bennett presiding. TELECONFERENCE LOCATION: Residence Inn, 1440 South Whiteoak Drive, Waukegan, Illinois City Attorney Marco Martinez announced that prior to roll call a portion of this City Council meeting is conducted pursuant to California Government Code Section 54953, in that Councilmember Isaac Suchil who is at the Residence Inn, 1440 South Whiteoak Drive, Waukegan, Illinois will be participating in this City Council meeting by speaker phone. In accordance with the Brown Act, each teleconference location has been identified in the notice and agenda for this meeting. ROLL CALL: Members Present: Deirdre H. Bennett, Mayor Isaac T. Suchil John D. Mitchell Helen A. Ramos Kelly J. Chastain Richard A. De La Rosa Ramon M. Hernandez Staff Present: Daryl Parrish, City Manager Marco Martinez, City Attorney Carolina P. Barrera, City Clerk City Attorney Martinez clarified the following: (a) CM Suchil had a copy of the agenda for the meeting; (b) the agenda was posted at the location, a conference room at the Residence Inn; (c) the location is reasonably accessible to the public; (c) councilmembers present could hear clearly through speaker phone CM Suchil and likewise CM Suchil could hear the proceedings thus far. MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF MARCH 7, 2006. Mayor Bennett asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. ACTION ITEM PUBLIC HEARING: This was the time and place fixed to consider an extension of Urgency Ordinance No. 0-08-06, adopted March 21, 2006 — an urgency ordinance of the City Council of the City of Colton in accordance with Government Code Section 65858 enacting for a period of ten (10) months and fifteen (15) days a moratorium on the approval of application for certain land uses city wide. The Mayor declared the Public Hearing "Open".
