The community will be updated as soon as <br />the council receives proposed solutions. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Dana Rochat, Wildlife Conservancy for the Colton Park Project, read a statement for the record, <br />regarding how her organization has withdrawn funds. <br />Ray Abril, spoke in support of the regional park and recommended council re -opens <br />communications involving the community; <br />Michael Griffin, owns one of the parcels in the potential regional park, purchased these parcels <br />to develop the land as a business enterprise; <br />Frank Gonzales, spoke regarding losing the regional park; <br />Josie Gonzales, San Bernardino County Supervisor, 5t' District, explained that she was present <br />to answer questions along with Tom Potter, who wants to set straight what has been said; the <br />park has been in the works for the last 6 years; plenty of information and opportunity as to <br />where the park was intended, what has happened in the process and what options may lead in <br />a different directions; if there has been a change of direction that we have an open discussion; <br />Supervisor Gonzales explained that her job was to work cohesively, and wants to leave with a <br />clear understanding as to what the council wants to do. <br />Discussion continued with Mayor Pro Tempore Suchil expressing concerns regarding the <br />solidarity of council regarding the project <br />City Manager Parrish explained that for the record, there is no acrimony between the City and <br />the Wild Life Conservancy as previously stated by Ms. Rochat, and in the past the conservancy <br />has asked for assistance during the acquisition of parcels. <br />Unanimous consensus of the members present, direction given to staff to move forward with the <br />original site for the regional park and if the land cannot be acquired as originally designed <br />alternative land sites should be considered. <br />STAFF REPORTS: <br />CITY ENGINEER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Presentation of the Redesigned Veteran's Park Snorts Complex Site Plan <br />City Engineer Jakher provided a PowerPoint presentation, which provided updates on the <br />proposed redesign of Veteran's Park. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />John J.
