Mayor Chastain asked Bill Smith, Parks and Recreation Director, to respond on what community outreach had been done on this project. Director Smith explained that three public meetings had been held recently in April with notices sent to residents living within '/ mile of the park; this layout was made at the April 2nd meeting, Mr. Abril was in attendance of that meeting. Discussion continued with Council expressing the need to embrace all concepts and concerns addressed. Motion/second CM Toro/Mayor Pro Tempore Suchil to go with the proposed park and move forward with the project. Motion carried with CM Oliva voting NO. City Clerk Padilla announced that the Affidavit of Publication for the public hearing was on file in the City Clerk's office and no protests or objections have been received.
