Vote: No objections of the members <br />present with CM De La Rosa absent. <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />Business Spotlight Judith Clarke, RDA Project Manager, who introduced the City of <br />Colton business spotlight recipient Gul Naz Restaurant, located in <br />District 6, Mayor Chastain presented a certificate of appreciation <br />to Raja Ahmad owner. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Appeal — Watts Investments <br />This was the Time And Place Fixed To Consider The Continued Public Hearing Of September <br />7, 2007 Regarding The Colton Planning Commission's Denial Of A Request For Design Review, <br />TPM #18647, Major Variance (Freeway Sign Height), Minor Variance (Wall Height), Sign <br />Application, And Environmental Assessment For The Proposed Construction Of An Equipment <br />Sales, Rentals, Painting And Repairs Facility; A Conditional Use Permit For The Sale Of Diesel, <br />Gasoline And Propane Related To Equipment Rentals; And A Conditional Use Permit For A <br />Freeway Oriented Sign, All For File Index No. Dap -000-689, For Property Located At The <br />Northeast Corner Of Main Street And Iowa Avenue <br />Mayor Chastain declared the public hearing open. <br />City Clerk Padilla announced that the Notice of Continuance for the public hearing was on file in <br />the City Clerk's office and no protests or objections have been received. <br />Community Development Director Zamora presented an overview of the agenda report for <br />Council consideration and requested approval of staff recommendation as outlined in the <br />agenda report. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None. <br />CM Oliva announced that in view of what happened at the last meeting she recused herself due <br />to a possible conflict, however she has discussed the possible conflict with the city attorney and <br />2007 SEP IS REG CCIRDA/CUA MEETING -2- <br />
