Motion carried with CM De <br />La Rosa absent. <br />Discussion continued with CM Mitchell requesting stronger language in the contract. <br />City Attorney Derleth explained this could be discussed with the owner, and the maker of the <br />motion would ask staff to negotiate conditions as there are set times when they can be added. <br />CM Oliva concurred with CM Mitchell and asked for additions might be considered such as a <br />Colton sign as it was the entrance to the City. <br />City Attorney Derleth explained it could be discussed as it was not a condition. <br />Assistant City Manager Nuaimi asked if the council move forward and chose to uphold the <br />appeal and leave it to the design review/planning commission for final review of the sign as CM <br />Oliva has recommended. <br />Discussion continued with Council requesting to be kept informed and insure that all concerns <br />were considered. <br />Mobon/second by CM Mitchell/Mayor Pro Tempore Suchil to approve and adopt Resolution R- <br />79-97 and negotiate the conditions that they have no more than three violations in a lender year, <br />add verbiage to include City of Colton on the business sign, and reduce the turn around time to <br />comply for the violations as to the booms, i.e. Within 24 hourss.
