CM Oliva concurred with CM Mitchell and asked for additions might be considered such as a Colton sign as it was the entrance to the City. City Attorney Derleth explained it could be discussed as it was not a condition. Assistant City Manager Nuaimi asked if the council move forward and chose to uphold the appeal and leave it to the design review/planning commission for final review of the sign as CM Oliva has recommended. Discussion continued with Council requesting to be kept informed and insure that all concerns were considered. Mobon/second by CM Mitchell/Mayor Pro Tempore Suchil to approve and adopt Resolution R- 79-97 and negotiate the conditions that they have no more than three violations in a lender year, add verbiage to include City of Colton on the business sign, and reduce the turn around time to comply for the violations as to the booms, i.e. Within 24 hourss.
