At 6:46 p.m., Mayor Chastain declared a recess for a reception and at 7:08 p.m., the meeting <br />was reconvened with all Members present there from. Councilmembers Bennett, Perez, <br />Yzaguirre and City Clerk Gomez took their place at the dais. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Perez, Bennett, Oliva, Yzaguirre, De La Rosa and Mayor <br />Chastain. City Manager Parrish, City Attorney Martinez and City Clerk Gomez. <br />Absent: <br />Councilmember Toro <br />COMMENTS FROM INCOMING CITY OFFICIALS <br />City Treasurer De La Torre, CM Perez, Bennett and Yzaguirre, City Clerk Gomez each listed <br />goals to be accomplished and expressed gratitude to family, friends and campaign workers. <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />Presentation Dick Larsen, San Bernardino County Treasurer/Tax Collector, provided a <br />brief PowerPoint presentation on Local Housing conditions. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF <br />DECEMBER 2, 2008. <br />Mayor Chastain asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict <br />of interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br />AB 1234 ORAL REPORTS: <br />Mayor Chastain asked the members present if there were any brief reports on meetings <br />attended at the expense of the city. (GC Section 53232.3(d)) None by members present. <br />APPOINTMENTS: <br />City Commissions & Committees; Regional Boards & Committees <br />District 1 — Mayor Chastain announced that CM Toro although absent from the meeting <br />requested for ratification the appointment of Jose Olivar to the Utilities Commission. <br />Motion/second by CM Yzaguirre/Oliva to ratify the appointment of Jose Olivar.
