RECONVENED At 9:07 p.m. Mayor Chastain reconvened the meeting with all members presented as heretofore. Discussion and Possible Action Concerning the Formation of a Committee for Senior Housing Opportunities. Councilmember Yzaguirre presented the item explaining that he would chair the committee and work with a combination of staff and three councilmembers. Committee formed will meet on a weekly basis and discuss plans, outline locations and return to Council with a vision for direction to staff on how to proceed. Consensuses by the members present that Councilmember(s) Toro, Yzaguirre and Oliva would sit on the committee. Discussion and Possible Action Concerning the Formation of a Committee for Civic Center Facilities. Councilmember De La Rosa suggested that this committee be combines with the Debt Advisory Committee. Councilmember Yzaguirre suggested that this committee be considered an Ad Hoc Committee for eight weeks to form a vision for a civic center, not attempting to finance but to bring forward the vision with the community and the council, as there are many needs such as an emergency service center, the need for expansion, i.e. adequate parking and a new library for the children, one stop shop for the Citizens. Committee formed will meet on a weekly basis and discuss plans, outline locations and return to Council with a vision for direction to staff on how to proceed. Consensuses by the members present that Councilmember(s) Yzaguirre, Mitchell and Oliva would sit on the committee. Discussion and Possible Action Concerning the Formation of a Committee for Perchlorate Issues. Mayor Chastain introduced the item and explained that this had come about as a result of a recent meeting with Supervisor Gonzales. Consensuses by the members present that Mayor Pro Tempore Mitchell, Councilmember(s) Yzaguirre, and Suchil would sit on the committee. Discussion and Possible Action Concerning the Formation of a Committee for West Valle Redevelopment Area.
