CEREMONIAL MATTERS: Presentations, Awards, Proclamations • Presentation Community Services Director Smith presented a Vision Document by the Santa Ana River Trail (SART) Committee Chairperson Jimmy Ramirez, and acknowledged the committee members present in the audience. PUBLIC HEARINGS: 2008-2009 CDBG Proiects This was the Time And Place Fixed To Consider Eligible Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Projects For Fiscal Year 2008-2009. Mayor Chastain declared the public hearing open. City Clerk Padilla announced that the Affidavit of Publication for the public hearing was on file in the City Clerk's office and no protests or objections have been received. Assistant Public Works Director Tapia presented an overview of the process to determine funding for this years project. She explained that twenty-one applicants were received that were eligible for consideration and the ones outlined are being recommended. PUBLIC COMMENT Hazel Belmont, representing the Hill Country Residential Housing for Women (sober living program) requested consideration for allocation of the CDBG funds. Naobi, representing Civic Circle Pre -School requested consideration for allocation of the CDBG funds. Abigail Rodriguez, representing GRIT Program requested consideration for allocation of the CDBG funds Motion/second by Mayor Pro Tempore Mitchell/CM De La Rosa to close the public hearing. Unanimous vote. Motion/second by Mayor Pro Tempore Mitchell/CM Yzaguirre to approve and adopt Resolution NO. R-10-88. Unanimous vote.
