CITY OF COLTON COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES AUGUST 19, 2008 Mayor Chastain announced that this was the time for Council to decide as per resolution no. R-29-95 which states no City Council meeting shall extend beyond 10:30 p.m. unless City Council by two thirds vote of all Councilmembers present elects to extend the meeting to complete a matter under discussion at the mandatory time for adjournment. No new matter shall be begun under any circumstance after 10:30 p.m. without the unanimous consent of the Councilmembers present. Any matter on the agenda not addressed prior to the mandatory time of adjournment shall be carried over the next Regular, Adjourned or Special Meeting of the City Council. Motion/second by CM De La Rosa/Mayor Pro Tempore Mitchell to adjourn the meeting after the present item under discussion. Vote: No opposition to the motion. A Special Meeting of the City Council/Redevelopment Agency/Colton Utility Authority of the City of Colton was held at 10:40 p.m., on the above -given date in the Council Chambers, 650 N. La Cadena Drive, Colton, CA 92324 with Mayor Chastain presiding. Notice of Special Meeting was given on August 14, 2008, in compliance with Government Code Section 54956. ROLL CALL Councilmembers present were, Suchil, Mitchell, Oliva, Yzaguirre, De La Rosa, Toro, and Mayor Chastain. Also present were City Manager Parrish, City Attorney Martinez and Chief Deputy City Clerk Flores. CM De La Rosa absent. PUBLIC COMMENT: The following citizens addressed the council: None MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF AUGUST 19, 2008. Mayor Chastain asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed.
