• Dr. Seuss Read Across America CITY MANAGER ORAL REPORTS: City Manager Parrish asked for department updates by the following: Interim Public Works Director Tapia provided a brief update on the Prado Park Project improvements, delays last week due to concrete improvements, installation of safety surfacing, and pending improvement installation of Shade Structure will be fenced off, park will be opened. Lt. Burrows provided a brief synopsis on the issue of spay/neutering, full details on the altering voucher will be provided with full presentation on the following regular meeting. City Manager Parrish announced the decision by the City of San Bernardino Animal Shelter will not be available to the City of Colton. City Manager Parrish addressed the concerns from Citizen Ray Abril regarding the Veterans Park Project completion guaranteed. Assistant City Manager Nuaimi explained that the HCP update will come in approximately 60 days. City Manager Parrish provided a brief explanation on the Stimulus Package, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, other funding available for various projects, list submitted to representatives, and the current work being done with lobbyists. Consent Calendar: City Manager Parrish presented Consent Calendar Items No. (s) 1 thru 9, for approval, pulling Item No. 2 and 9 for clarification and separate vote. Motion/second by CM Yzaguire/Toro to approve Consent Calendar Items 1 thru 9 for approval, and pulling Items 2 and 9 for clarification and separate vote. Motion carried with CM De La Rosa absent. (1) Minutes — Approved Minutes for Regular City Council Meeting held February 17, 2009, on file in the Office of the City Clerk. (2) Warrants — Approved Payable Warrants #105129 to #105354, Dated 2/12/09, Totaling $1,316,539.47, on File in the Finance Department. Motion/second by CM Yzaguire/Mayor Pro Tempore Oliva.
