City Council or other legislative body, may so require. SECTION IV. That the grantee of this franchise or assigns shall have the right to construct and maintain such traps and manholes as may be necessary to afford proper access to said pipes and pipe lines for cleaning and maintaining the same, and said traps and manholes shall at all times be kept flush with the surface of the streets and thoroughfares and so located as to conform to any order of the said City Council in regard thereto, and not to interfere with the use of the said streets and thoroughfares for travel or traffic. The grantee of this franchise, or assigns, shall have the right, subject to such regulations as are now or may hereafter be in force, to make all necessary excavations in said streets and thoroughfares for the construction and repair of said pipe lines, traps and man- holes. SECTION V. All main line, lateral and house connection pipes shall be located in such positions in. streets and alleys and at such depths as the City Council shall direct, and. shall be laid under the super- vision of the Street Superintendent. SECTION VI. The City shall be provided with complete plans and profiles showing Locations and depths of all main and lateral pipes and house connection pipes to the property line, as well as all structures such as traps, manholes, pates, cut-offs, etc. Such information as mentioned above shall be furnished to the City within thirty days after such pipe is laid in any street or alley of said City. SECTION VII. That the grantee of said franchise and assigns shall, during the life of said franchise, pay to the City of Colton, in lawful money of the United States, two per cent of the gross annual re- ceipts of such grantee, or assigns, arising; from the use, operation
