City Council or other legislative body, may so require. <br />SECTION IV. <br />That the grantee of this franchise or assigns shall have the <br />right to construct and maintain such traps and manholes as may be <br />necessary to afford proper access to said pipes and pipe lines for <br />cleaning and maintaining the same, and said traps and manholes shall <br />at all times be kept flush with the surface of the streets and <br />thoroughfares and so located as to conform to any order of the said <br />City Council in regard thereto, and not to interfere with the use <br />of the said streets and thoroughfares for travel or traffic. The <br />grantee of this franchise, or assigns, shall have the right, subject <br />to such regulations as are now or may hereafter be in force, to <br />make all necessary excavations in said streets and thoroughfares <br />for the construction and repair of said pipe lines, traps and man- <br />holes. <br />SECTION V. <br />All main line, lateral and house connection pipes shall be <br />located in such positions in. streets and alleys and at such depths <br />as the City Council shall direct, and. shall be laid under the super- <br />vision of the Street Superintendent. <br />SECTION VI. <br />The City shall be provided with complete plans and profiles <br />showing Locations and depths of all main and lateral pipes and house <br />connection pipes to the property line, as well as all structures <br />such as traps, manholes, pates, cut-offs, etc. <br />Such information as mentioned above shall be furnished to the <br />City within thirty days after such pipe is laid in any street or <br />alley of said City. <br />SECTION VII. <br />That the grantee of said franchise and assigns shall, during <br />the life of said franchise, pay to the City of Colton, in lawful <br />money of the United States, two per cent of the gross annual re- <br />ceipts of such grantee, or assigns, arising; from the use, operation <br />
