ORDINANCE NO. 1417 1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON ADOPTING AND ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ELECTRICAL 2 INSTALLATIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF COLTON: ADOPTING THE UNIFORM WIRING CODE, 1968 EDITION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF 3 REDUCING PERSONAL INJURY AND FIRE HAZARD FROM ELECTRICAL CAUSES; PROVIDING FOR RELATED MATTERS; AND REPEALING 4 ORDINANCE NO. 1345. 5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 6 SECTION 1. This ordinance shall be known as the "Uniform Wiring 7 Ordinance." 8 SECTION 2. Those certain rules and regulations which provide for 9 electrical installations and which apply to all wiring and equipment 10 installed, used, maintained, rented, leased, offered for sale or dis- 11 tributed for use, as set forth in those certain codes entitled UNIFORM 12 WIRING CODE (1968 Edition) as promulgated by the Southern California 13 Chapter of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and 14 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE (1971 Edition) as promulgated by the National 15 Fire Protection Association are hereby adopted as rules and regulations 16 and codes of the City of Colton. Three copies of each of the aforementioned 17 codes are on file in the Office of the City Clerk of said City and are 18 identified by Certificates attached thereto, reading substantially as 19 follows: 20 "I, Helen A. Ramos , hereby certify that three (3) copies of the 21 annexed codes entitled UNIFORM WIRING CODE (1968 Edition) and NATIONAL ,22 ELECTRICAL CODE (1971 Edition) are true, correct, and complete copies 23 of that certain code referred to in Ordinance No. 1417 , as amended, 24 of the City of Colton, and by said Ordinance adopted by reference and 25 made a part thereof as fully as though set forth at length. 26 HELEN A. Said UNIFORM WIRING CODE is hereby amended by deleting 30 therefrom the following sections and provisions; 31 Section 50.7: Section 50.8: Articles VII through XXV, inclusive. 32 SECTION 4.
