ORDINANCE NO. 1417 <br />1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON ADOPTING AND <br />ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ELECTRICAL <br />2 INSTALLATIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF COLTON: ADOPTING THE <br />UNIFORM WIRING CODE, 1968 EDITION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />3 REDUCING PERSONAL INJURY AND FIRE HAZARD FROM ELECTRICAL <br />CAUSES; PROVIDING FOR RELATED MATTERS; AND REPEALING <br />4 ORDINANCE NO. 1345. <br />5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />6 SECTION 1. This ordinance shall be known as the "Uniform Wiring <br />7 Ordinance." <br />8 SECTION 2. Those certain rules and regulations which provide for <br />9 electrical installations and which apply to all wiring and equipment <br />10 installed, used, maintained, rented, leased, offered for sale or dis- <br />11 tributed for use, as set forth in those certain codes entitled UNIFORM <br />12 WIRING CODE (1968 Edition) as promulgated by the Southern California <br />13 Chapter of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and <br />14 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE (1971 Edition) as promulgated by the National <br />15 Fire Protection Association are hereby adopted as rules and regulations <br />16 and codes of the City of Colton. Three copies of each of the aforementioned <br />17 codes are on file in the Office of the City Clerk of said City and are <br />18 identified by Certificates attached thereto, reading substantially as <br />19 follows: <br />20 "I, Helen A. Ramos , hereby certify that three (3) copies of the <br />21 annexed codes entitled UNIFORM WIRING CODE (1968 Edition) and NATIONAL <br />,22 ELECTRICAL CODE (1971 Edition) are true, correct, and complete copies <br />23 of that certain code referred to in Ordinance No. 1417 , as amended, <br />24 of the City of Colton, and by said Ordinance adopted by reference and <br />25 made a part thereof as fully as though set forth at length. <br />26 HELEN A. Said UNIFORM WIRING CODE is hereby amended by deleting <br />30 therefrom the following sections and provisions; <br />31 Section 50.7: Section 50.8: Articles VII through XXV, inclusive. <br />32 SECTION 4.
