That Section 6 of Ordinance No. 1122 of the <br />City of Colton is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />SECTION 6. COMPETITIVE SERVICE. The provisions of <br />this ordinance shall apply to all official positions and employ- <br />ments in the service of the City except: <br />A. Elective Officers. <br />B. Members of appointive boards, commissions and <br />committees. <br />C. Persons engaged under contract to supply expert, <br />technical or professional services for a definite <br />period of time. <br />D. Volunteer personnel, such as volunteer firemen and <br />police reserves, who receive no regular compensation <br />from the City. <br />E. The positions of Administrative Assistant, Assistant <br />to the City Manager, Auditor -Analyst, Cemetery <br />Assistant, City Manager, Collections Supervisor, <br />Director of Community Services, Director of Finance, <br />Director of Planning and Special Services, Finance <br />Assistant, General Services Supervisor, Parks and <br />Cemetery Superintendent, Personnel Assistant and <br />Streets and Sanitation Superintendent. <br />F. Part-time and temporary, hourly paid employees. <br />
