The first paragraph of Section 9 of Ordinance 1231, and <br />Section 3.08.090 of the Colton Municipal Code, are hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br />Formal Contract Procedure - Generally. Purchasing of supplies, <br />services and equipment of estimated value greater than Five Thousand Dollars <br />($5,000) shall be by written contract with the lowest and best bidder pursuant <br />to the procedures and requirements prescribed in Sections 3.08.100 through <br />3.08.250. <br />SECTION 2. The first paragraph of Section 10 of Ordinance No. 1080, <br />and Section 3.08.260 of the Colton Municipal Code, are hereby amended to read <br />as follows: <br />Open Market Purchases - Procedure Generally. Purchases of supplies,) <br />equipment, contractual services and sales of personal property of an estimated <br />value in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) or less may be made by <br />the purchasing agent in the open market without observing the procedure <br />prescribed by Sections 3.08.090 through 3.08.250. <br />SECTION 3. That Ordinance No. 1365 is hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be published and become effective <br />as prescribed by law. <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21st day of September 1976. <br />ABE E.
