Affidavit of Publication ORDINANCE NO. 1502 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, AMENDING OR- DINANCE NOS. 1080 AND 1231, AND CHAPTER 3.08 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE, PROVIDING FOR A PURCHASING AND SALES SYSTEM. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The first paragraph of Section 9 of Ordinance 1231, and Section 3.08.090 of the Colton Municipal Code, are hereby amended to read as follows: Formal Contract Procedure - Generally. Purchasing of supplies, services and equipment of estimated vaiue greater than Five Thousand Doilars ($5,000) shall be by written contract with the lowest and best bidder pursuant to the procedures and requirements prescribed in Sections 3.08.100 through 3.08.250. SECTION 2. The first paragraph of Section )0 of Ordinance No. 1080, and Section 3.08.260 of the Colton Municipal Code, are hereby amended to read as follows: Open Market Purchases - Procedure Generally. Purchases of supplies, equipment, contractual services and sales of personal property of an estimated value in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) or less may be made by the purchasing agent in the open market without observing the procedure prescribed by Sections 3.08.090 through 3.08.250. SECTION 3. That Ordinance No. 1365 is hereby repealed. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be published and become effective as prescribed by law.
