Intent to Vacate and Public Hearing Notice. The City Council of the City <br />of Colton hereby declares its intent to vacate certain Streets within the Rancho Mediterrania <br />Mobilehome Estates and hereby sets a public hearing to be held October 7, 2008, or as soon <br />thereafter as possible in the Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Colton located at <br />650 North La Cadena Drive, Colton California at 6:00 P.M. At this hearing, all interested <br />persons may introduce evidence and testimony pertaining to the proposed vacation. At the <br />conclusion of the hearing the City Council shall determine, from all evidence submitted, whether <br />or not the Streets are necessary for present or prospective public use. <br />SECTION 2. Legal Description. The legal description of the Streets to be vacated is <br />attached hereto as "Exhibit A" and a map that shows the Streets to be vacated is attached hereto <br />as "Exhibit B." Both documents shall be on file in the office of the City Clerk located at, <br />California. <br />SECTION 3. Notice. The City Engineer, or designee, is hereby directed to post the <br />notice of this vacation in accordance with the provisions of the Street and Highways Code <br />Section 8323. <br />SECTION 4. Notice. The City Clerk is hereby directed to provide notice of the above <br />hearing in accordance with the provision of Street and Highways Code Section 8322 <br />SECTION 5. CEOA Findings. This street vacation has been deemed to be categorically <br />exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to <br />Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) of the CEQA Guidelines. The street vacation proposes to <br />transfer ownership of existing streets not needed for present or prospective public use.
