The City shall <br />award such franchise, contract, license, permit, or otherwise pursuant to the procedures applicable to <br />professional services under section 3.08.070. The authority to provide solid waste handling services may <br />be granted under terms and conditions prescribed by the City Council by resolution or ordinance. <br />(Ord. 0-15-96 § 1, 1996) <br />(Ord. No. 0-10-15, § 3, 10-20-2015) <br />6.16.030 - Depositing and burying prohibited—Exception. <br />No Person Shall dump, deposit, place or bury in or upon any Lot, land or Public Place, or in any <br />water or waterway, any Refuse, or any deleterious or offensive substance, or any substance condemned by <br />the Code Enforcement Officer; provided, however, this section Shall not apply to any land Used by the <br />City for a disposal or reclamation site. <br />(Ord. 1009 § 3, 1959) <br />6.16.040 - Refuse accumulation prohibited—Exception. <br />Every Occupant shall keep Premises in a clean and sanitary condition, and shall not cause or Permit <br />any Garbage to accumulate on Premises for a period in excess of one calendar week, or cause or Permit <br />any Rubbish to accumulate on Premises for a period in excess of two calendar Months; provided, however, <br />that this provision Shall not be construed to interfere with any Occupant keeping Building Materials upon <br />Premises during the construction, reconstruction or repair of a Building or Structure thereon under a <br />current valid Building Permit, nor with the keeping of wood neatly stacked upon such Premises for <br />household Use. <br />(Ord. 1009 § 4, 1959) <br />6.16.050 - Burning—Garbage—Prohibited. <br />No Garbage Shall be burned under any circumstances. <br />(Ord. 1009 § 5(a), 1959) <br />6.16.060 - Burning—Rubbish—Permit required—Exception. <br />No Rubbish Shall be burned, by incinerator or otherwise, except under Permit issued by the Fire <br />Department, save and excepting that which May be necessary in the operation of barbecue grills. <br />23152.06000\30578143.3 - 6 - <br />
