STATE LIBRARY
June 5, 2018
Bilingual Books Funding Opportunity Approval
Dear Library Director:
California is home to more than 10 million immigrants. Nearly one in four of the foreign -
born population in the U.S. lives in our state. Public libraries are working hard to
strengthen their services to immigrants. The State Library's Immigrant Alliance Project
can help.
Through the Immigrant Alliance, your library jurisdiction has been approved for the
opportunity to obtain resources to update and expand your bilingual book collections
for children. The attached Funding Tier list will indicate your specific level of funding for
this project.
Visit our website at http://www.library.ca.gov/services/to-libraries/immigrant-alliance/
for details.
Questions? Contact Project Coordinator Jeremy Wilson at wilsonj@plpinfo.org
Respectfully yours,
Library Programs Consultant
".
08/07/2018 Council Agenda
550
