Unanimous COUNCIL DISCUSSION Discussion and discernment by Councilmembers present with questions and clarification provided by staff: Director Tomich; City Attorney Campos; and City Treasurer De La Torre. Mayor DeLaRosa announced a consensus of Council to continue the Public Hearing and return to Council for second meeting in June (June 20, 2017) for final discussion and action. BUSINESS ITEMS (18) Youth Commissioner Program – Waive full reading, ready by title only and introduce an ordinance of the City Council of the City of Colton, amending section 2.30.020 of Chapter 2.30 of Title 2 of the Colton Municipal Code for the purpose of allowing the appointment of Youth Commissioners to Commissions and Committees, ORDINANCE NO. O-05-17. Staff Presentation City Attorney Campos presented for Council consideration the following subject matter as it relates to the Youth Commission Program. On May 17, 2016, Ordinance No. O-10-16 was passed that would disband and dissolve certain commissions that were no longer active and unintentionally deleted the language as it related to the appointment of up to two Youth Commissioners for each Commission and Committee of the City. PUBLIC COMMENT None Motion and Second by CM Suchil/CM González to waive full reading and read by title only and introduce Ordinance No. O-05-17.
