2017 JANUARY 31 CC/SARDA/CUA/CPFA/CHA SPECIAL MEETING - 2 - <br /> <br /> Agenda <br /> What is the current law in Colton? <br /> Current Law in Colton <br /> <br /> What are the regulatory options for the City? <br /> Regulation of Personal Marijuana Uses <br /> Personal Uses: Outdoor Cultivation <br /> Personal Uses: Indoor Cultivation <br /> Regulation of Medical Marijuana Uses <br /> Regulation of Commercial Marijuana Uses <br /> <br /> What are some pros and cons of allowing marijuana uses? <br /> Benefits/Risks of Authorizing Certain Marijuana Uses <br /> Marijuana Dispensaries/Retailers <br /> Deliveries <br /> Cultivation/Manufacturing Businesses <br /> Taxation and Revenue <br /> <br />Council Discussion <br />Discussion and discernment by Councilmembers present with clarification provided by staff: <br />Attorney Ponto, City Attorney Campos, Utilities Director Kolk, and City Treasurer De La Torre. <br /> <br />At 6:00 p.m. CM Suchil left the dais for the remainder of the council meeting. <br /> <br />Direction to Staff <br />With consensus from the Councilmembers present Mayor DeLaRosa gave direction to City <br />Manager Smith and City Attorney Campos to provide the following: (a) Information of the <br />cultivation aspect of operation here in the City of Colton and where we can learn more and what <br />it is going to bring; (b) look at the appropriate land use; (c) the appropriate overlay; (d) the <br />energy needs; (d) The public safety aspects; (e) Any pros and cons related to this type of <br />operation as related in other cities and other states; (f) where do we go from here; (g) how do we <br />get other people involved; (h) other experts in the cannabis industry; and what are the state <br />regulated testing as it relates to potency and monitoring. <br /> <br />City Attorney Campos informed Council a two month response time would be appropriate to <br />return with the direction as outlined above. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />At 6:24 p.m., Mayor DeLaRosa adjourned the Regular Council Meeting. <br /> <br /> <br /> _________________________________________________________________________ <br />Carolina R.
