All precautions shall be taken to prevent washouts, undermining and subsurface <br />ponding, caused by rain or runoff to all surface structures (curbs, gutters, sidewalks, <br />paving, etc.). The Public Works Department may order repair, removal and <br />replacement, extra compaction tests, load tests, etc. or any combination thereof for any <br />such structure that was damaged or appears to have been damaged. All of the additional <br />work, testing, etc., shall be at the expense of the developer. <br />D. All required public improvements for the project shall be completed, tested and <br />approved by the Public Works Department prior to the issuance of any Certificate of <br />Occupancy for such tract. <br />E. Prior to any street construction or relocation, when there are monuments in the project <br />area which control the location of subdivisions, streets or highways, or provide survey <br />control, the developer shall locate and reference the monuments and shall reset them <br />after construction as required by Section 8771 of the Business and Professions Code, <br />in a manner meeting the approval of the City Engineer. <br />-12- <br />
