R-16-17 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, UPDATING BUILDING FEES AND <br />ADOPTING NEW PLANNING FEE FOR SERVICES <br />PERFORMED BY AND FOR THE CITY, ESTABLISHING NEW <br />FEES, AND REPEALING SELECTED FEES ADOPTED BY <br />RESOLUTIONS NOS. R-05-13 AND R-30-16. <br />WHEREAS, on February 5, 2013, the City Council adopted Resolution No. R-05-13, <br />which established a Citywide Master Fee Schedule, including Planning and Building fees; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has conducted a nexus analysis of Planning and Building fees to <br />ensure that said fees continue to accurately reflect the cost of performing Planning and <br />Building services; and <br />WHEREAS, the City's analysis of said fees has identified fees that should be <br />increased, decreased or remain unchanged to ensure that said fees are an accurate reflection of <br />the services that are performed; and <br />WHEREAS, only certain portions of Resolution Nos. R-05-13 and R-30-16 shall <br />remain after adoption of this Resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, a properly noticed public hearing was conducted on April 4, 2017 to <br />receive public comments on the proposed changes to Planning and Building fees and charges. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Colton does hereby find, determine and declare as follows: <br />SECTION 1. Adoption of Fees and Charges. The fees and charges set forth in <br />Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference shall take effect and be in <br />force according to law. <br />SECTION 2. Partial Repeal of Prior Resolutions. Portions of Resolution No. R-05- <br />13 are repealed in their entirety, specifically Exhibit A, fees and charges as follows: <br />Building Permit — Sign <br />Building Plan Check <br />Building Permit — Electrical <br />Building Permit — Solar Panel Installation <br />Building Permit — Residential HVAC <br />Energy Fees — Residential, Commercial, Industrial <br />Disable Access Fee <br />Archive Fee <br />Inspections Outside of Normal Business Hours <br />Inspections for Which No Fee is Indicated <br />Plan Review — Not Covered by Valuation Based Projects <br />Reinspection Fees <br />1 <br />
