City of Colton <br />Number: <br />4.05.340 <br />Administrative Policy <br />Last Revised: <br />12/21/00 <br />Date: <br />Dec. 28, 2000 <br />Page: <br />2 of 3 <br />SUBJECT: SERIES RECLASSIFICATION <br />If a department head determines that an employee is eligible for reclassification, he/she <br />should submit a memo to the City Manager outlining the reasons for the reclassification, <br />along with a copy of the employee's performance evaluation. If approved by the City <br />Manager, the reclassification will be effective at the beginning of the next pay period <br />following approval. <br />When an individual is reclassified, he/she is entitled to a salary increase to the "A: step of <br />the salary range for the new classification or a percentage increase in his/her salary before <br />reclassification as specified in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the <br />bargaining unit he/she belongs to prior to the reclassification, whichever is higher. <br />Attachment: Entry Level Positions Eligible for Journey Level Reclassification Rev 05/02/2017 <br />per Council) <br />�'M•113Y[Si:QK• I ••:I I I L: • aP •.p N.MEMO), ' R <br />
