The property has been underutilized and the proposed use of the property will <br />allow for continued use as a parking lot and provided for better use of the adjacent site. Further, <br />conveyance of the Property in accordance with the Option Agreement fulfills the City's <br />obligations pursuant to that Option Agreement and other related agreements. <br />SECTION 3. NOTICE OF HEARING. A public hearing will be held by the City to hear <br />any protests regarding the conveyance of the Property by the City on August 15, 2017, at 6:00 <br />p.m., in the City Council Chambers located at 650 N. La Cadens Drive, Colton CA 92324 or as <br />soon thereafter as the matter may be heard. The City hereby authorizes and directs the City Clerk <br />to post copies of this Resolution for not less than ten (10) days in at least three (3) conspicuous <br />places on the Property and publish this Resolution at least once in a daily newspaper published <br />and circulated in the City. <br />SECTION 4. TIME OF FINAL ACTION. The City shall take final action regarding <br />conveyance of the Property on August 15, 2017, following the public hearing described in <br />Section 2 of this Resolution. <br />SECTION 5. DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY. The Property is generally located along <br />Laurel Street in the City of Colton, specifically identified by Assessor Parcel No. 0160-241-45 <br />and depicted in Exhibit "A" attached to this Resolution. <br />SECTION 6: CERTIFICATION. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and <br />adoption of this Resolution and the same shall thereupon take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption. <br />SECTION 7: EFFECTIVE DATE. The Mayor shall sign this Resolution and the City <br />Clerk shall attest thereto, and this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of August, 2017. <br />ATTEST: <br />Carolina R.
