The calculation of the one-time pay <br />will be as follows: base hourly rate x 2,080 x.01. <br />Section 2. Bilingual 1 Pay. The City agrees to pay fifty dollars ($50) per month, <br />(twenty-five dollars ($25) to be paid on the first two pay periods of the month) to Executive <br />Group employees who successfully complete a bilingual examination and who have been <br />approved by the City Manager. When the skill is no longer needed, the employee is not <br />required to use it, or ceases to possess it, the City Manager shall terminate the bilingual <br />compensation by written notice to the Human Resources Manager and employee. The <br />bilingual pay is tied to the position rather than the individual employee, and will terminate if <br />the employee moves to a new position. <br />ARTICLE III <br />BENEFITS <br />Section 1. Retirement. — PERS. The City shall provide Executive Group <br />employees with retirement benefits, as currently specified under the city's applicable <br />contracts with the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS). Benefits shall include: <br />Employees hired before PERS' Two -Tier Plan Amendment <br />3% at age 50 formula for Police Chief; <br />3% at age 50 formula for Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief, <br />2.7% at age 55 formula for other eligible employees <br />One year final compensation <br />Military buyback <br />Post -Retirement Survivor Allowance for Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, <br />and Police Chief <br />Employees hired after PERS' Two -Tier Plan Amendment <br />3% at age 55 formula for Police Chief; <br />3% at age 55 formula for Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief; <br />2.5% at age 55 formula for other eligible employees <br />One year final compensation <br />Military buyback <br />Post -Retirement Survivor Allowance for Fire, Deputy Fire Chief, and <br />Police Chief <br />Notwithstanding the above, pursuant to the California Public Employees' <br />Reform Act of 2013 ("PEPRA"), retirement benefits are based on whether <br />Resolution No. R-64-17 <br />Page 3 of 16 <br />
