10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14I <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />WHEREAS, Colton Municipal Code 3.08.140(e), Exceptions to Competitive <br />Bidding — Non -Public Projects does allow the City Council to award a subsequent contract <br />to the same vendor when the City Manager determines that it is in the best interest of the <br />City and its administrative operations. In this case, the City Manager has determined that <br />it is in the best interest of the City as Blais and Associates is already familiar with this grant <br />opportunity and the needs of the City and there is no financial advantage to be gained by <br />conducting an informal bid. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Approve authorizing submittal of <br />application(s) for California Climate Investments 2016-2017, CAL FIRE Urban and <br />Community Forestry grant which the City of Colton is eligible; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, to approve the professional services agreement for grant <br />writing services with Blais and Associates in the amount not to exceed $7,000, in <br />accordance with Colton Municipal Code 3.08.140(e); and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, to authorize the City Manager to execute the contract <br />documents. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of December 2016 <br />Richard A.
