In this case, the City Manager has determined that <br />it is in the best interest of the City as Blais and Associates is already familiar with this grant <br />opportunity and the needs of the City and there is no financial advantage to be gained by <br />conducting an informal bid. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Approve authorizing submittal of <br />application(s) for California Climate Investments 2016-2017, CAL FIRE Urban and <br />Community Forestry grant which the City of Colton is eligible; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, to approve the professional services agreement for grant <br />writing services with Blais and Associates in the amount not to exceed $7,000, in <br />accordance with Colton Municipal Code 3.08.140(e); and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, to authorize the City Manager to execute the contract <br />documents. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of December 2016 <br />Richard A.
