The City Council hereby authorizes the acceptance of a grant award from the <br />APPA DEED program with the purpose to sponsor and conduct activities related to energy <br />innovation. <br />Section 2. The City Council hereby authorizes the acceptance of the awarded funding to <br />be disbursed to CED payroll account number #520-8000-8005-1040-0920-000 in the following <br />schedule accepting $1000 when the scholarship contract agreement is executed, $1500 when <br />the student is half -way through the internship, as determined by CED and $1500 upon <br />completion of the internship and receipt of final deliverables. <br />Section 3. The City Council hereby authorizes the acceptance of a maximum of $1000 <br />for travel expenses for the intern to attend an APPA conference or APPA approved conference <br />within 12 months of the student completing the internship if the student is still an active intern <br />for CED. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of April 2015. <br />CAROLINA PADILLA, City Clerk <br />RICHARD A.
