R-110-15 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, <br />APPROVING ADDITION OF A STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT THROUGH A <br />MODIFICATION TO THE CONSOLIDATED PLAN FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />BLOCK GRANT FUNDS <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton elected to enter into a Cooperation <br />San Bernardino-in-order-to-receive--Community--Development <br />Block Grant ("CDBG") funds; and <br />WHEREAS, as a "Cooperating City," the City of Colton receives annual funding <br />allocations of CDBG funds; and <br />WHEREAS, twice each year, the County of San Bernardino allows projects to be <br />submitted as amendments to the Consolidated Plan ("Plan Mod"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council seated a committee, known as the CDBG Ad Hoc <br />Committee ("Committee"), comprised of three (3) City Council members and three (3) <br />Planning Commissioners, to review the eligible projects and make funding recommendations <br />to the Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Committee has recommended the use of unspent project funds for an <br />alleyway and sidewalk curb ramp improvement project and the construction of a community <br />garden as a Plan Mod Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, as the governing body of the City of Colton, is required by <br />statute to take a formal action approving projects to be recommended to the County for <br />funding with CDBG funds in their Consolidated Plan to comply with CDBG program <br />regulations and subject to available funding. <br />
