The City Council hereby approves the purchase of the Parcel for a <br />Public Use. <br />SECTION 3. The City Council authorizes an appropriation of $125,000 to Land <br />Purchase Account 100-6020-9050-4960 from the General Fund Reserve Account 100-2540- <br />002 as an adjustment to the Fiscal Year 2014-2015 budget as follows: <br />• Increase expense account 100-6020-9050-4960 in the amount of $125,000. <br />• Decrease General Fund Reserve account 100-2540-002 in the amount of <br />$125,000. <br />SECTION 4. The County of San Bernardino's Board of Supervisors must approve the <br />sale of the land to a public entity, such as the City of Colton, before the sale can be completed. <br />SECTION 5. Purchase of property does not involve any commitment to any specific <br />project and, as a result, is not a "project" pursuant to Section 15378(b)(4) of the State CEQA <br />Guidelines (Title 14 California Code of Regulations Sections 15000, et seq.). Therefore, Staff <br />has determined that approval and purchase of tax default property is exempt from <br />environmental review under CEQA. <br />SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, which <br />shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 16`h day of September, 2014. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA R.
