R-12-13, <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, VACATING A PORTION OF THE <br />PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY AND ALLEY LOCATED ALONG <br />PORTIONS OF F STREET AND E STREET, BETWEEN LA <br />CADENA DRIVE AND 9TH STREET, PURSUANT TO STREETS <br />AND HIGHWAYS CODE SECTIONS 8300 ET SEQ., AND <br />DETERMINING THAT SUCH VACATION IS CONSISTENT <br />WITH THE CITY'S GENERAL PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton ("City") holds a right-of-way for street, alley and <br />public utility purposes over, under and upon that portion of public rights-of-way known <br />as F Street, E Street, and a public alley, generally located between 9th Street and La <br />Cadena Drive, and more fully described and depicted in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference (hereinafter, the "Vacated Area"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Vacated Area is no longer needed for public right of way or alley <br />purposes, is unnecessary for present or prospective public use, and will be incorporated <br />into a larger senior housing development to be developed by the City of Colton Housing <br />Authority; and <br />WHEREAS, the vacation of the Vacated Area is made pursuant to the requirements <br />of California Streets and Highways Code, Division 9. - Change of Grade and Vacation, Part <br />3. - Public Streets, Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law (Streets & Highways <br />Code sections 8300 et sec .), Chapter 3. — General Vacation Procedure; and <br />WHEREAS, there are existing public utilities and easements for public utilities in the <br />Vacated Area and appurtenant rights thereto that will be reserved for the City and other <br />public agencies in accordance with California Streets and Highways Code Section 8340; and <br />4 <br />
