General Plan Consistency. The City Council hereby finds that vacation of <br />the Vacated Area, as more specifically described and depicted in the attached Exhibit "A," <br />is consistent and in conformity with the General Plan of the City of Colton because the City <br />Council adopted a general plan amendment to remove the Vacated Area streets as <br />"collector" streets from the City of Colton Circulation Element. <br />2. Findings of No Need for Vacated Area. The Vacated Area as described in <br />Exhibit "A" of this Resolution is not necessary for prospective vehicular traffic, non- <br />vehicular traffic or other public street purposes; and <br />3. Order of Vacation. Based on the above stated facts, conclusions, and <br />findings, the City Council hereby vacates the Vacated Area described in Exhibit "A" to this <br />Resolution. <br />4. Reservation of Easements.The City Council hereby reserves the following <br />easements in the Vacated Area, on behalf of the City and any other public agencies or <br />utilities: <br />A. Those easements for public utilities, including but not limited to water, <br />sewer, electric, gas and cable television, as more specifically disclosed in Parcel Map <br />No. 19406, to be recorded by the City of Colton Housing Authority, or its successor <br />in interest. <br />5. California Environmental Quality Act. This action is facilitated through a <br />mitigated negative declaration approved by the City Council on December 18, 2012. <br />6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. <br />
