I In addition, any other position created by the City Council and specifically designated <br />by the City Council to be included in the Executive Group shall be included, even <br />2 before this Resolution is amended accordingly. <br />3 Section 5. At -Will Employment; Agreements. Employees within the <br />4 Executive Group are at -will employees, and are subject to termination with or without <br />cause or notice, and without right of appeal or hearing. As provided for in Colton <br />5 Municipal Code Section 2.16.070(B)(5), the City Manager may enter into at -will <br />6 employment agreements with Executive Group employees. <br />7 Section 6. Management Rights; Working Hours/Days. The City and City <br />Manager retain all management rights and have no meet and confer obligations with the <br />8 Executive Group. Within management rights, the City Manager reserves the right to <br />change the work schedule, working hours, and working days of any Executive Group <br />9 employee. Such changes include requiring Executive Group employees to work a 9/80 <br />10 (i.e., alternating Fridays off) or Monday through Friday. A two-week notice will be <br />provided prior to said change(s) being made. <br />11 <br />12 ARTICLE II <br />13 COMPENSATION <br />14 Section 1. Salary Table: Salaries. The salary range for Executive Group <br />employees shall be as provided in the City's comprehensive salary table, as such table <br />15 may be amended from time to time. The table was last adopted by the City Council on <br />16 August 7, 2012 to be effective as of May 15, 2012. The specific base salary to be paid <br />to individual Executive Group employees shall be provided in an at -will employment <br />17 agreement executed between the City Manager and employee, which amount shall be <br />18 within the approved range for their position. <br />19 Section 2. Salary Reductions. All Executive Group employees have <br />agreed to the following reductions from their base salaries, which shall be reflected in <br />20 amendments to their at -will employment agreements: (1) effective July 1, 2011, the <br />Police Chiefs base salary shall be reduced by one percent (19/0); (2) effective July 1, <br />21 2012, the Police Chief's base salary shall be reduced by an additional two percent <br />22 (2%) if, and only if, the Colton Police Officer's Association incurs a two percent (2%) <br />salary reduction following the jointly completed salary survey noted in their MOU; (3) <br />23 effective July 1, 2013, the Police Chief s base salary shall be reduced by an additional <br />two percent (2%) if, and only if, the Colton Police Officer's Association incurs a two <br />24 percent (2%) salary reduction following the jointly completed salary survey noted in <br />25 their MOU; and (4) effective July 1, 2011, the base salaries of all other Executive <br />Group employees shall be reduced by five percent (5%). In addition, the City Manager <br />26 shall have the right to reduce any Executive Group employee's salary by up to five <br />(5%) if said employee does not perform the duties and responsibilities of their job <br />27 classification. The amount of time for the reduction in salary shall be at the discretion <br />28 of the City Manager. <br />
