R-50-11 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR <br />COMMENCING JULY 1, 2011 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2012. <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Colton has prepared the proposed <br />annual budget for Fiscal Year 2011-12 which sets forth all of the expected revenue and the <br />recommended appropriations to meet the operating and capital needs for all of the City's <br />operations; and <br />WHEREAS, the City held a public budget workshop wherein staff presented the <br />budget and the City Council together with various boards and commissions reviewed the <br />budget and made recommendations; and <br />WHEREAS, at a second public session, the City Council considered the budgetary <br />recommendations contained in the Fiscal Year 2011-12 Proposed Budget document and <br />approved or modified them so as to best serve the interests of the citizens of the City of Colton. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: <br />SECTION 1: The Recommended Budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal Year <br />commencing July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012 is hereby approved and adopted and <br />incorporated herein. <br />SECTION 2: The City Council further understands that the adoption of the State <br />budget may have financial impacts on the City of Colton. Inasmuch as the State's budget is <br />not yet adopted and the uncertainty of such impacts, no provision has been made in the <br />recommended 2011-12 budget for these items. Staff will inform Council as soon as impacts, <br />if any, are known. <br />SECTION 3: The City Council authorizes the Fire Chief and City Manager to <br />meet with the City of Loma Linda regarding the sharing of a battalion chief position and <br />bring back to Council for consideration any agreement that results from these efforts. <br />
