Distance and Separation. <br />A. Sign may not be located closer than 500 feet from another permitted display on the <br />same side of freeway, or closer than 1,000 feet from another freeway -oriented <br />electronic changeable copy ("digital") Sign. <br />B. Sign shall be located no farther than 150 feet from a freeway right-of-way, and <br />only on a property that is immediately adjacent to or abutting a freeway right-of- <br />way, or separated from a freeway right-of-way by only a frontage road, a railroad <br />right-of-way, a public flood control channel, or public utility easements. No <br />Business District or Gateway Sign shall be located within 150 of property for <br />which zoning does not allow outdoor advertising displays (e.g., residential <br />property). <br />C. Gateway Sign shall be located a maximum of one-half mile from freeway point of <br />entry into City. <br />5. Caltrans Standards. Sign shall comply with all Caltrans standards, including <br />restrictions pertaining to Classified Landscape Freeways, minimum <br />distance/separation standards, and shall obtain a State Outdoor Advertising Permit. <br />6. Each Business District Sign shall identify the name of the business district in which it <br />is located and shall only advertise businesses which are located within the Business <br />District and on the same side of the freeway where the Sign is located (per Outdoor <br />Advertising Act, Section 5274). <br />7. Sign shall comply with electronic changeable copy Sign standards contained in <br />Section 18.050.090B.4. <br />8. Billboard Public Benefit Agreement. <br />a. Application requirements. In addition to the Conditional Use Permit and <br />Sign Permit requirements, the applicant shall request in writing the <br />approval of an Agreement that includes the following: <br />i. The name, address, phone number and other contact information <br />of the person or entity proposing the Agreement. <br />ii. Identification of the location proposed for a new or relocated or <br />modified billboard and the bfllboard(s) being permanently <br />removed, where applicable. <br />iii. Information that establishes that the person or entity proposing the <br />Agreement has legal or equitable interest in the billboard being <br />removed or modified and the site proposed for relocation or <br />placement. <br />iv. An explanation of the compensation to be paid or public benefits to <br />be provided to the City. <br />v. The Applicant must vav a filing fee in accordance with an <br />approved resolution. This fee shall be in addition to any other <br />required fees for permits relative to development of the property <br />and of all existing structures and improvements on the property, <br />and the proposed billboard. <br />Ordinance No. 0-08-17 - <br />
