1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-03-16 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />ADDING CHAPTER 5.14 TO TITLE 5 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL <br />CODE REGARDING MOBILE FOOD VEHICLES, ADDING CHAPTER <br />5.15 TO TITLE 5 REGARDING HOUSE NUMBERS ON CURBS, <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 5.16 OF TITLE 5 REGARDING PEDDLERS, <br />SOLICITORS AND CANVASSERS, AND AMENDING CHAPTER 5.24 OF <br />TITLE 5 REGARDING MASSAGE PARLORS AND MASSAGE <br />TECHNICIANS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is receiving an increasing number or inquiries and <br />business license applications for commercial mobile food vehicles ("food trucks"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Colton Municipal Code does not presently provide for a permit <br />through which mobile food vehicles are regulated by the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council now wishes to add Chapter 5.14 to Title 5 (Business <br />Licenses and Regulations) to ensure that mobile food vehicles are operated in a safe and <br />responsible manner; and <br />WHEREAS, the City receives, from time to time, complaints and inquiries from <br />residents regarding companies and individuals painting of house numbers on curbs, and <br />requesting payment for such services after the fact; and <br />WHEREAS, the Colton Municipal Code does not presently provide for a permit <br />through which the painting of house numbers on curbs is regulated by the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council now wishes to add Chapter 5.15 to Title 5 of the Colton <br />Municipal Code to address the public concerns, as well as the concerns of elected and <br />appointed officials regarding unregulated curb painting activities. <br />-1- <br />
