See Figure 18.50-2 (Pole Sign). <br />Figure 18.50-2: Pole Sign <br />"Political sign" means a sign erected prior to an election to advertise or identify a <br />candidate, campaign issue, election proposition or other related matters. <br />"Portable sign" means a temporary sign that is not permanently attached to the ground or a <br />building or not designed to be permanently attached to the ground or a building, including, but <br />not limited to A -frames, sandwich boards or other freestanding signboards. <br />"Pylon sign" means a freestanding sign in excess of six feet in height which is detached <br />from a building and is supported by one or more structural elements that are architecturally <br />similar to the design of the sign. Pylon signs less than six feet in height are prohibited.
