Suchil <br /> <br />Council Members Absent <br />None <br /> <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br /> <br />• Government Finance Officers Association Award <br />Stacy Dabbs, Finance Director, announced the City of Colton’s Finance Department earned the GFOA <br />Certificate of Achievement for excellence in financial reporting for the FY 16/17 CAFR; the certificate of <br />achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its <br />attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management; acknowledgement to <br />Paula Majors, the City’s Finance Manager, for her efforts to coordinate the annual audit; and was able to <br />address and correct prior year comments and recommendations; her determination and meticulousness were <br />essential in completing the FY16/17 audit and in the receipt of this award. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS <br /> <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF SEPTEMBER <br />4, 2018. <br /> <br />GIFT DISCLOSURES <br />Mayor DeLaRosa asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of interest <br />pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br />
