COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 31 1994 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was <br />held on the above given date at 6:40 P. M., in the Council Chambers <br />of the City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Invocation was offered by Chaplain Ken Dorff. <br />REMEMBRANCE: <br />Mayor Gonzales asked the assembly to observe a moment of silence in <br />memory of City Manager Jerry L. Young , deceased. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Bennett, Sandoval, Rios, Cisneros, <br />Cook, Beltran, and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were Acting City <br />Manager Gale Drews, City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Ramos. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />Mayor Gonzales announced that he had received notice of a request <br />for continuance to June 7, 1994 of the public hearing regarding <br />TCI. <br />Mayor Gonzales announced that the following agenda items will be <br />pulled for discussion: Nos. 9 and 12. <br />Item No. 9: <br />Motion by Councilmember Bennett, seconded by Councilmember Beltran, <br />to continue this item until budget discussions and hold up on <br />approving expenditure for the park projects in light of recent <br />budget information. Unanimous vote. <br />Item No. 12: <br />City Attorney Biggs stated that second reading of ordinance No. 0- <br />08-94 was continued for the purpose of clarification of the <br />question on whether or not the Council's action, if passed, would <br />apply to currently employed department heads. <br />�0—_ City Attorney Biggs recalled that prior legal counsel had <br />1 <br />MAY 0 1 M�t' <br />
