CITY -COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />(AS CORRECTED) <br />SEPTEMBER 5, 1995 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was <br />held on the above given dated at 6:47 p.m., in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall, Mayor Fulp presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Fulp led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION• <br />Chaplain Kim Starr offered the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL• <br />Councilmembers present were Hutton, Sandoval, Bennett, Cook, <br />Sanders, Beltran and Mayor Fulp. Also present were City Manager <br />Martinez, City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Ramos. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Presentations Awards Proclamations <br />Mayor Fulp introduced Wade Burrows who is working to earn an <br />eagle scout award. Mr. Burrows said the Boy Scout project <br />required that he give of time and talent to the community. In <br />his neighborhood, near Colton Junior High School, Wade Burrows <br />found that house numbers were fading. He knew there was a <br />need when the. Fire Department, which was responding to an <br />emergency call, had passed the house they were searching for. <br />Mr. Burrows decided to paint the house numbers. He gathered <br />a group of volunteers and knocked on doors. After obtaining <br />permission, they painted house numbers, free of charge. Mayor <br />Fulp applauded Mr. Burrows efforts and presented him with a <br />plaque. <br />Mayor Fulp introduced Ronald C. Heredia, a Colton High School <br />Senior and Member of the Student Council. Mr. Heredia <br />provided highlights of his recent 11 -day trip to Washington D. <br />C., for conference. The group of students visited monuments. <br />He attended Congressman George Brown's press conference. Mr. <br />Heredia described a crises simulation practice where, in his <br />
