CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MWUTES <br />JULY 16, 1996 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was <br />held on the above given date at 6:30 P. M., in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall, Mayor Fulp presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Fulp led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Chaplain Bob Johnson offered the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Present were Councilmember John C. Hutton, Councilmember Floyd D. <br />Hansen, Councilmember Deirdre H. Bennett, Councilmember Betty L. <br />Cook, Councilmember Donald Sanders, Councilmember Abe E. Beltran <br />and Mayor George V. Fulp. Also present were City Attorney Biggs, <br />City Manager Martinez, and City Clerk Freeman. <br />MAYOR ;AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />Presentation by the Youth Group from Living springs Fellowship <br />about their recent trip to Washington D. C., for Jesus Rally. <br />They thanked Mayor Fulp for his support with a memento. <br />Mr. Ric Collet, Vice President of Taormina Industries, Inc., <br />made presentation re transition of sanitation services. Mr. <br />Sam Perez, owner of Perez Tires, complained about the charge <br />to commercial bins, which he claimed exceeded the 7% rate. <br />Question arose on whether he was underbilled. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />Following brief discussion and with Council approval, Mayor Fulp <br />ordered that Closed Session Items A and B would be advanced on the <br />agenda as Special Counsel are present. Items Nos. 1, 6 and 12 were <br />pulled for discussion. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />(1) Minutes <br />CM Bennett requested modification to Minutes of July 2, <br />1996, Page 7, under discussion regarding Policy <br />
