CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />MAY 71 1996 6:30 P. M. <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was <br />held on the above given date at 6:43 P. M., in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall, Mayor Fulp residing. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Fulp led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION• <br />Chaplain Kim Starr offered the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Present were Councilmember John C. Hutton, Councilmember Floyd D. <br />Hansen, Councilmember Deirdre H. Bennett, Councilmember Betty L. <br />Cook, Councilmember Donald Sanders, Councilmember Abe E. Beltran <br />and Mayor George V. Fulp. Also present were City Attorney Biggs, <br />City Manager Martinez and City Clerk Freeman. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />* Proclamation read by CM Hutton declaring National Public Works <br />Week, May 19-25, 1996. <br />* Proclamation read by CM Bennett declaring June 1, 1996 as <br />Stand for Children's Day. <br />* Certificate of Recognition and achievement, and Mayor's <br />personal Kudo, presented to Police Volunteer Dewey Griffin. <br />* Proclamation read by Mayor Fulp declaring May 12-19, 1996 as <br />Blue Ribbon Week; Police Chief Lunsford present. <br />AGENDA REVIEW• <br />CA Biggs requested Item 30 be pulled. With Special Counsel <br />present, she requested that Closed Session items be heard first. <br />She asked that the matter of City v. Lebanoff-McKnight be deleted <br />from the agenda. CM Hutton requested that Items 27 and 29 be heard <br />after Consent Calendar. Mayor Fulp removed Items 18, 19 and 20 <br />from the Agenda. <br />MAY 0 7 1996 <br />
