COMBINED MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING AND THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 04, 1997 A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 6:18 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gaytan presiding. FLAG SALUTE: Mayor Gaytan invited CM Kelly Chastain to lead the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. INVOCATION: Chaplain James Stovall offered the invocation. ROLL CALL: Present were Councilmember Don Sanders, Councilmember John Hutton (reported during the announcement of Closed Session), Councilmember Kelly Chastain, Councilmember Betty Cook, Councilmember Deirdre Bennett, Councilmember David Sandoval and Mayor Karl E. Gaytan. Also present were Interim City Manager Wood, Interim City Attorney Carvalho and City Clerk Barrera. CLOSED SESSION: A. Interim City Attorney Carvalho announced that City Council would convene in Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code §54957.6, to confer with its Labor Negotiator Len Wood, regarding negotiations with representatives of the Executive Management Unit. B. Interim City Attorney Carvalho announced that City Council would convene in Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code §54957, to discuss the Terms of Appointment of Interim City Attorney. At 6:24 P. M., Mayor Gaytan recessed the meeting to Closed Session. At 7:20 P. M., the general meeting was reconvened with all Members present except for CM Sandoval. A. Interim City Attorney Carvalho stated that City Council met in Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code §54957.6, to confer with its Labor Negotiator Len Wood, regarding negotiations with representatives of the Executive Management Unit. She said there was no reportable action. B. The City Council will meet in Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code §54957, to discuss the Terms of Appointment of Interim City Attorney.
