CITY OF COLTON <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />July 15, 2003 <br />Regular Meeting held on the above -given date at 6:05 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, with Mayor Bennett presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Bennett led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Pastor Pam Alexander led the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Members Present: <br />Mayor Deirdre Bennett <br />Sarah S. Hernandez <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Staff Present: <br />Daryl Parrish, City Manager <br />Dean Derleth, City Attorney <br />Carolina P. Barrera, City Clerk <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST ISSUES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 15, <br />2003. <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Chastain asked the members present if there were any agenda items that <br />were a conflict of interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed by members <br />present. <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />➢ Certificate - CM De La Rosa assisted by Mayor Bennett presented to Coach and <br />team members of Colton Pony All Stars — Pinto Division. <br />➢ Presentation - Colton Unified School District Superintendent Dennis Byas, assisted by <br />Colton High School Counselor Dr. Kenneth Clarke and Tobin Brinker provided an <br />overview of major changes and improvements in the District schools. <br />➢ Proclamation - Mayor Bennett presented to Police Chief Rulan a Proclamation setting <br />December 28`h as a day Honoring those who Died in the Line of Duty for the City of <br />Colton. <br />➢ Recognition - District Representative Frances Vasquez spoke on Senator Soto's <br />behalf apologizing that she could not be in attendance. <br />2003 JULY 15 CC/RDA/CUA 1 <br />
