R-88-21 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, PROVIDING FOR THE DESIGNATION OF AN ELIGIBLE <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES STRUCTURE AS A HISTORICAL <br />LANDMARK NO. 54 (ALSO KNOWN AS THE-PETER'S HOME") <br />LOCATED AT 602 AGUA MANSA ROAD WITHIN THE M-1 (LIGHT <br />INDUSTRIAL) AND AGUA MANSA HISTORIC DISTRICT. (FILE <br />INDEX NO. HPO-000-094) <br />WHEREAS, an application (File Index No. HPO-000-094) was filed with the City of <br />Colton by Vance Mape, representative of PSIP WR Rancho, LLC (hereinafter "Applicant") for <br />Designation of Historically Eligible Historic Resource Structure for consideration of a local <br />Historic Landmark No. 54 (Peter's Home) located within the M-1 (Light Industrial) Zone and <br />Agua Musa Historic District (APN:0163-452-07); and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton has an Ordinance establishing rules and regulations <br />governing the designation and perpetuation of historic resources and properties (Ordinance 07- <br />26-04); and <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission did consider at a duly and legally <br />held public hearing the designation of the historic landmark; and <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission, having studied and researched the <br />said designation, recommends approval of said designation based on the finding that the structure <br />has significant character, interest, and value as part of the development of the heritage of the City <br />of Colton; and <br />WHEREAS, said property to be designated is delineated as follows: <br />Landmark #54 — 602 Agua Mansa Road. <br />WHEREAS, the Peter's Home is also recommended for application of a Historic <br />Resource by the California Register of Historical Resources (CRHR) and the National Register <br />of Historic Register of Historic Places (NRHP); and <br />WHEREAS, the properties structure and new landscaping (possible introduction of one <br />or two orange trees) and all within the latest boundaries of the subject site as a whole be <br />designated local Historic Landmark No. 54 of the City of Colton, California; and <br />
