R-38-90 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON APPROVING MEMBERSHIP OF <br />THE SOLID WASTE TASK FORCE REQUIRED UNDER <br />A.B. 939 (STATS. 1989) AND RELATED MATTERS <br />WHEREAS, Public Resources Code Section 40950 (A.B. <br />939, Stats. 1989) provides that on or before March 1, 1990, <br />each County shall convene a Task Force to, among other things, <br />assist in coordinating the development of City source <br />reduction and recycling elements for integrated waste manage- <br />ment plans; and, <br />WHEREAS, the membership of the Task Force shall be <br />determined by the Board of Supervisors and a majority of the <br />Cities within the County; and, <br />WHEREAS, membership may Include representatives of <br />the solid waste industry, environmental organizations, general <br />public, special districts, and affected governmental .agencies; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, each City within the County is an affected <br />governmental agency under A.B. 939. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Approval is hereby given for the member- <br />ship of the Task Force required under Public Resources Code <br />Section 40950 to consist of one representative, who must be <br />an elected City official; from each incorporated City within <br />the County of San Bernardino, who is appointed by such City; <br />one representative, who must be an elected County official, <br />from each San Bernardino County supervisorial district who Is <br />appointed by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San <br />
