R-73-92 <br />RESOLU77ON OF THE CITY OF COLTON ADOPTING <br />CERTAIN NEW FEES AND INCREASING CERTAIN <br />EXISTING FEES FOR VARIOUS SERVICES PROVIDED BY <br />THE CITY <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />WHEREAS, rates for water services may be set or adjusted by resolution in accord with the <br />provisions of Section 13.04.190 of the Colton Municipal Code, and <br />71EREAS, rates for sewer services may be ,ret or adjusted by resolution in accord with the <br />provisions of Section 13.16.240 of the Colton Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, rates for refuse collection -may be set,or adjusted by resolution in accord with the <br />provisions of Section 6.16.240 of the Colton Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, Government Code Section 66016 provides that a city may establish or increase <br />fees for certain other public services by resolution, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is necessary to adopt by this Resolution <br />certain new fees and increases in certain existing fees charged by the City for the provision of <br />certain public services, which fees and fee increases are set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by reference; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has made data available to the public for a 10 day period prior to acting <br />upon this Resolution indicating the costs, or estimated costs and sources of revenue necessary <br />to provide the services for which the fees set forth in Exhibit A are to be adopted or increased <br />as required by Government Code Section 66016; ; and <br />WHEREAS, the data made publicly available as required by Government Code Section 66016 <br />supports the City's determination that the fees to be adopted or increased will not exceed the <br />actual cost or estimated cost to provide such services; and <br />WHEREAS, in accord with the provisions of Government Code Section 66016 and 66018, a <br />public meeting and a public hearing have been properly noticed and held at which oral and <br />written presentations were made to and heard by the City CounciL <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />HEREBY FINDS, DETERMINES AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />A. Notice of the public meeting and public hearing at which this Resolution was <br />considered was properly given pursuant to Sections 66016 and 66018 of the California <br />
