R-40-96 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON APPROVING ORGANIZATIONS FOR ISSUANCE <br />OF LICENSES TO OPERATE FIREWORKS BOOTHS AND <br />TO SELL FIREWORKS WITHIN THE CITY OF COLTON <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, after receipt and evaluation of <br />applications in accord with the provisions of Chapter 6.32 of the Colton Municipal Code is <br />authorized to establish by resolution a list of all approved applications for licenses to operate a <br />fireworks booth and to sell fireworks within the City of Colton pursuant to the provisions of <br />Section 6.32.060; and <br />WHEREAS, applications were duly received, reviewed and evaluated by City Staff and <br />have been considered by the City Council at a public meeting during which testimony supporting <br />or protesting the inclusion of any organization in the list of approved organizations entitled to <br />a license to operate a fireworks booth and to sell fireworks within the City; and <br />WHEREAS, by this resolution, the City Council intends to establish a list of <br />organizations entitled to be issued a license to operate a fireworks booth and to sell fireworks <br />within the City of Colton. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: The City Council finds and determines in accord with the provisions of <br />Chapter 6.32 of the Colton Municipal Code that a total of fourteen licenses may be issued <br />annually for the operation of fireworks booths and the sale of fireworks within the City. <br />
