R-_Ia-97 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA ADOPTING ELECTRIC RATE SCHEDULE CTC <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a general law city, duly organized and <br />existing under the laws of the State of California and situated in the County of San <br />Bernardino; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has jurisdiction over the <br />implementation of rules and rates for the Electric Utility as propounded in the <br />Customer Service Policy; and, <br />WHEREAS, State Assembly Bill 1890 establishes a structure for California <br />electricity customers to have a choice as to their energy provider; and, <br />WHEREAS, said Bill provides for the recovery of electric generation -related <br />costs incurred by electric utilities that may be stranded by such choice; and, <br />WHEREAS, said Bill requires a minimum waiting period of 6 months from <br />the time a Competition Transition Charge is established in a Public Hearing of the <br />City Council prior to the commencement of direct access energy deliveries from a <br />provider other than the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Colton City Council <br />hereby adopts Rate Schedule CTC as attached and made a part hereof. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 3-2tr7day otNO"ernbet, 1997. <br />ATTEST: <br />Carolina Barrera, City Clerk <br />Karl Gaytan, Maygr <br />
